“A strangely important pillar of the draft analysis industry”

“Indispensable stuff”

Since 2019, Alex has been writing, talking, and tracking everything about college football, the NFL Draft, and the NFL.
A lifelong Chargers fan, he has written for USA Today’s Chargers Wire since 2021, adding Washington Huskies coverage for USA Today’s Huskies Wire in 2024. His written draft content is currently housed on Wide Left, a Substack co-owned by himself, Arif Hasan, and Philadelphia Inquirer editor Devin Jackson.
His written work has also been featured on SB Nation and Meet at Midfield, among others.
Alex also does a semi-weekly draft show on YouTube with the Chargers-focused podcast Guilty as Charged and is one of the co-hosts for Sorry, No Podcast Today, which is allegedly about football.
Most famously, Alex has maintained a database of football information spreadsheets since 2022. These spreadsheets have quickly become known as the most complete resource online for pro day results, NFL Draft decisions, college all-star game invitations and measurements, college football eligibility status, NCAA and NFL coach movement, NFL transactions, and the transfer portal.
These spreadsheets, now hosted by Alex’s database company Football Sheets, have been used by multiple NFL clubs and NCAA programs, as well as the CFL, the UFL, ESPN, CBS Sports, the East-West Shrine Bowl, Bootleg Football, NFL Stock Exchange, and multiple agencies.
